Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Authors must ensure their manuscript meets the following requirements during the submission process. Manuscripts that fail to comply with these guidelines may be returned to the corresponding author without further review.

    1. Originality: The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

    2. Adherence to Formatting and Referencing Style: The manuscript must adhere to TJC’s formatting and referencing style, as detailed in the submission guidelines.

    3. Author Approval: All authors must approve the manuscript for submission.

    4. Cover Letter: A cover letter must be attached, including a statement confirming the originality of the manuscript. The cover letter should also highlight the significance of the study and its relevance to TJC’s scope.

    5. Figures, Tables, and Data: Figures, tables, and data must be properly formatted and cited in the manuscript, with clear and relevant references.

    6. A mix of APA 7th edition/Vancouver Citation Style: References must adhere to both APA 7th edition and Vancouver citation styles, and must be accurately formatted. Formatting Details:

    a) Specific instructions on manuscript formatting, including file type, layout, and font size, are available in the submission guidelines.
    b) For figures, acceptable file formats, resolution, and referencing styles should be followed, as detailed in the submission guidelines.
    c) Authors are encouraged to refer to the journal’s website for further guidance on preparing their manuscript.

All manuscript content published by TJC is licensed under Creative Commons Licenses.
By submitting a manuscript to this journal, the authors represent and warrant that:
1. The manuscript has not been published previously.
2. The manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
3. All authors named in the manuscript are required to sign a Copyright Transfer 4. Agreement/Authors Declaration Form. This ensures that while authors retain the copyright to their work, they assign to the Publishers and its licensees an exclusive license in perpetuity to:
- Publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and store the work.
- Translate the work into other languages.
- Create adaptations, reprints, summaries, extracts, and/or abstracts.
- Incorporate the work into collections or create derivative works.
- Exploit all subsidiary rights in all formats and media, whether currently known or developed in the future.
