Withdrawal Policy

The Tropical Journal of Chemistry (TJC) recognizes that the withdrawal of manuscripts after submission is a serious matter. This policy establishes clear expectations for authors and emphasizes the importance of adhering to ethical practices, publication integrity, and plagiarism standards.

General Principles
    1. Manuscripts should not be withdrawn from TJC solely because they are being considered or accepted by another journal.
    2. Authors must ensure that all facts, data, and conclusions presented in their manuscript are accurate and free from errors before submission.

Authorship and Responsibility
Before submission, all authors, including corresponding and co-authors, must confirm the following:
    1. The number of authors listed in the manuscript.
    2. The authorship and ownership of the research.
    3. The approval of the manuscript in its entirety.
    4. The integrity and ethical compliance of the manuscript.
It is essential that all authors are in agreement regarding the submission and content of the manuscript.

Withdrawal Process
A manuscript may be withdrawn by the authors at any stage of the review or publication process by submitting a formal request. The request must meet the following conditions:
    1. The request must be addressed to the Editorial Board of TJC.
    2. The letter must provide a clear explanation for the withdrawal.
    3. The request must be endorsed by all co-authors to ensure transparency and shared responsibility.
Withdrawal requests should be submitted promptly and formally to minimize unnecessary delays in the journal's publication process.

Ethical Compliance
The withdrawal of a manuscript solely because it is accepted by another journal is discouraged and considered unethical. Authors must adhere strictly to the ethical standards of TJC, including following publication and plagiarism ethics.
If authors withdraw a manuscript for any unethical reasons, they may face sanctions, such as temporary suspension from submitting to TJC. This ensures that authors are aware of the serious implications of unethical manuscript withdrawal.
